The Athabasca River Runners  Club has  many active members who work hard to maintain and continue to upgrade the trail system.

The Athabasca River Runners Club was founded and Incorporated in 1992. Meetings were held in the town of Athabasca in an old job trailer that was located by the old train station. 

In the 2000/2001 season the club built its club house located just west of Athabasca. Where meetings are held today.
