February 19, 2026 Update:
We received close to a foot of snow this week. West Baptiste trail conditions will be fantastic as the entire trail system has been groomed for the upcoming rally on February 21st. The Jackfish Lake Trail system has not been groomed for a couple of weeks, but should remain in good condition with lots of fresh snow to play in.

Jan 23, 2026 Update:
Although we may have lost the amazing deep powder we had a few weeks ago, we still have substantial snow coverage.
West Baptiste Trails have all been groomed this week. Trails will be smooth sailing, but until we get fresh snow you might need scratchers.
Jackfish Lake Trails have all been recently groomed. The trail system was hit hard with downed trees so we have had equipment out clearing which has roughed up a few trails. We will be out grooming again in the coming days to smooth things out, but most of the trail system is in great shape!
Check out the ASA trail map for the updated weekly grooming status' across the province at https://asa.evtrails.com/#. There is also a great trail map app available for download at https://albertasnowmobile.ca/pages/download-the-app-now.
Jan 9, 2026 Update:
Jackfish Staging area has been plowed today, should be good to go.
Please use extra caution close to the Schmid cabin as there is a broke down groomer 1/2 mile from the cabin.
Jan 8, 2026 Update:
Snow conditions are absolutely amazing this season! Get out here and enjoy the trails. Both trail systems will be fully groomed for the weekend. Forfar Hall and Jackfish Lake staging areas are plowed out, however, the entrance into the Jackfish staging area has a few holes so large trailers may not be recommended.
December 27, 2025 Update:
More snow fell overnight - snow conditions are amazing. We haven't had this much snow, this early in the season, in a very long time! Many volunteers hours have been put into trail clearing and grooming already this season, but please use extra caution as there could still be early season hazards and with all of this snow, fallen trees and hanging tree branches are very likely.
Wood is currently in short supply at the Kuyzk Cabin. If you'd like to take on the task of getting it filled, please let us know.
West Baptiste trails were groomed this week, with the exception of the Island Lake connector to Trappers Trail. The Forfar Hall Staging area has been plowed out and the ditch from Forfar Hall to the trail system has been groomed.
Jackfish Lake trails have been partially groomed and the Jackfish Staging area has been plowed out.
